Generally speaking, this specific x axis travel and same for Y axis and also Z axis is customized by waterjet manufacturer according to the specific cutting needs of waterjet cutting users. Usually the Z axis travel is fixed, generally around 200mm. Of course, if you are cutting thicker materials, such as foam or metal sheets above 300mm, this z axis travel can also be customized, and the cost is not high.
The other two axes, X and Y are not fixed, and generally follow up the customer’s specific cutting workpiece size decision, for example: we have a Brazilian customer who wants to cut 1.5m x 2.5m stainless steel plate, then we can recommend For 3015 equipment, the X axis travel can be 1.6 or more, which is convenient for loading and unloading.
